Darya Ganj, Delhi, August 1947

In this 1974 audio interview of Shri Des Raj Chaudhary, a member of the Congress Party and an official in the Delhi government talks about the riots in Delhi specially around Darya Ganj and Kucha Chelan area and his work in stopping the violence and helping the Muslims in Delhi.


One of the interesting story he talks about is the firing that was coming from the Dawn newspaper building and one of the bullets fell near Home Minister Sardar Patel's entourage who was visiting the area at the time and the efforts to stop the gunfire by the officials.
